Money can't buy you love.

Happy day of love to you all,

As a student, cash flow is always an issue, so today I'm going to give you Some ideas for romantic gestures that don't break the bank.

Number one. Draw a picture of them.

Number two. A love note;

Never under estimate the power of a simple love note or letter, Why not write something really mushy then hide it some place they will find it, In her bag, or in the case of the game he is playing right now, The surprise will only add to the romance.

Number three. Romance walks,

I'd check the weather before this one, but why not just go for a romantic walk, hold hands and just talk to each other, if you have some water nearby that makes for a good place to walk, Bonus Points if you do it while the stars are out

Number four. Update your picture in a romantic way, maybe cast them as the queen/king of hearts,

Number five. Music talks.

Mix tapes may have gone out of fashion, but we live in a time when its easier than ever. Go on your computer and make a CD of all the song they love, or songs that make you think of them. you could even get yourself a cheep USB flash drive, and give them a mp3 mix tape.

Number six. Bring the cinema to you.

This ones easy, Get hold of a film they love, or a film you know has the right vibe. grab all the blankets and pillows off the bed, and snuggle up together on the sofa.

Number seven. Remember how much she loves steam punk and update your picture again.

Number eight. Confess your love in a blog post.

This might prove a bit difficult, if you don't have a blog, but making one is easier than ever so make the effort. Why not follow my lead and confess your love to a fellow blogger, then you never know, you might just get a blog post confessing their love right back. Then you could say something like...

TuesdayShanice, you are my best friend, my greatest companion and the best person I have ever known, and I love you with all my heart.

Number nine. Try to win a competition, and take them on holiday.

If you look around you might be able to find a competition where the prize is a holiday to some romantic place, maybe you could find one to your valentines favourite island Tenerife, maybe if you look hard enough you might find conveniently (and not at all planned this way) that your blog post confessing your love for the other person is in fact already an entry into said competition.

In that case, cross your fingers and hope you win.

Number Ten. Put some effort in.

A hand made gift means more than anything you buy at the shops. get some modelling clay, get out the paints, write them a song... play to your strengths.

But the most important thing to remember about Valentines day is let someone know how you really feel. it makes no difference if it's someone you have been with for a while, or the girl you like but can't get up the courage to talk to. Reach out and let them know what they mean to you.
